Te Papa is New Zealand's national museum. No trip to Wellington should be complete without a visit!
We wandered around the lower floor, checking out extinct flightless birds,
large insect displays,
lizards,
the "night sky",
plate tectonics,
earthquake "makers",
a giant tree-house,
and so much more that we didn't have time to explore any exhibits on other levels.
Which obviously must mean we are coming back!
