This first six pictures we took on a nature excursion to our river are close by home and on our side of the river. The boys also wanted to take a picture of a bus on our o-bahn track(the walking path we were on crossed over the river and o-bahn.). We spotted a bird playing golf?....and some wattle in bloom. But we were on an expedition; read on!
Last Sunday dh and the two youngest found a green “oasis” by the river. They took me to see it during the week and these pictures are the result. By the way, should you chance to visit, just so you know,(!!) it is named "cormorant peninsular".
While we were there it started to rain.(Dd said when we had that good bit of rain a while back this section of land was completely submerged…hence its greenness)We saw some magpies being scared by a bird of prey but I couldn’t get the zoom close enough to get a snap of it.Oh and the very last photo is how the rest of the river banks near us look.

Lovely nature study. Are we looking forward to Easter?
Yes very much...my mother is coming over to spend Easter with us too and help celebrate my birthday(which is on Easter Sunday). She is very much looking forward to her time with us...just praying the weather is kind to us then!!
