Latin Study

Here are some “hands on “ activities Master T. has made for his Latin studies. You didn’t know you could learn a language with k'nex did you!! Seriously I am very impressed with the way he has “connected” with Lively Latin. I really like the format of this programme. It appeals to my visual learner with its colorful presentation. I like the way you learn Latin in a cultural context including Roman history , a study of great art etc. Master T also enjoys the study of derivatives and grammar (no kidding it is really working for him!)Anyway the giant catapult he got from this site, which also has great info. on British history. But the ballista he made up himself.

Hmmm...it's a pity that we didn't try the Latin that you are using, for I think our children would have loved it!

We used Prima Latina, but we found it VERY boring, and hard to learn.

However, as usual, there were good things that we learned from it, such as the table grace that we learned:

Oremus
Benedic, Domine, nos et haec tua dona
quae de tua largitate sumus sumpturi per
Christum Dominum nostrum. Amen.

Translation:
Let us pray
Bless us O Lord and these your gifts, which from your bounty we are about to receive,
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen
